Mu Aye Pu
Moei River landing beneath karst hills.

Place

A landing on the Moei

Mu Aye Pu sits on the Myanmar bank of the Moei — the Thaungyin — with Thailand visible from the rafts. That is enough geography for a public page.

Independent published description: a KNU-controlled village on the Moei, Thailand on the left bank.4Archive photographs and the 2017 placement deck show the same sandbar, drums, bamboo fence, and long-tail boat.12

The Dawna foothills rise immediately behind. Forest and small agricultural clearings share the bank. The only measured envelope in a community-facing drawing is about 2,000 square metres of already-cleared riverside field, proposed in November 2017 for a guesthouse — not a city.2

What this page will not do

It will not publish coordinates, patrol routes, or a cadastre. Kayin State’s 2014 census figure of about 1.57 million is a gazetteer fact for the whole state, not a village count.24

The village tract name in S’gaw or Pwo, and whether this settlement is organised as a kaw, are not yet established here. Those are listed as knowledge gaps, not guessed.
